ABOUT ASCENT MEDICAL PREP

Ascent Medical Prep was created from a simple frustration: high-quality academic and MCAT preparation has become far too expensive for too many students.

Students pursuing careers in medicine and healthcare already face significant costs—from tuition and textbooks to application fees, examinations, and educational resources. Yet many test-preparation programs add hundreds or even thousands of dollars to that burden. We believed there should be another option.

That belief became Ascent Medical Prep.

Our goal is to make effective, high-quality science education and academic support more accessible without sacrificing the structure, resources, and thoughtful instruction students deserve.

We focus on helping students understand rather than simply memorize. Our educational approach incorporates active learning, practice, active recall, spaced repetition, and other evidence-informed study strategies to help students build knowledge they can retain and apply.

Through AMP+, one-on-one tutoring, academic consulting, and our growing collection of educational resources, we aim to support students at different stages of their academic journeys—from those strengthening their foundations in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry to students preparing for demanding pre-health coursework and examinations.

Most importantly, Ascent Medical Prep was built around the idea that excellent educational support should not be reserved only for students who can afford the most expensive prep programs.

We're building something different: accessible resources, practical guidance, transparent pricing, and a learning community centered on student growth.

We won't promise a particular score or pretend there is a shortcut to academic success. What we can provide is a better system, stronger resources, and the support to help students make the most of the work they put in.
